A ‘LATTE’ LOVE

A team of Costa baristas from the St James Square store on the Isle of Wight have helped two coffee fans tie the knot this month.

Store Manager Bernadette Allen and her team of baristas received an unusual request from 65 year-old holidaymakers Christopher and Izabela Thomas.

The Swindon couple, who have been together 14 years, made the decision to get married during their holiday and invited four baristas to not only act as witnesses at their nuptials, but also be their official wedding photographers, and helped them celebrate by hosting their reception in the Costa store.

To mark the occasion the baristas created a Costa cake and treated them to gift cards and a bottle of Champagne.

Bernadette said: “It’s certainly one of the more unusual requests we’ve had, but we were more than happy to help Chris and Izabela on their special day. We were honoured to be part of such a heart-warming occasion.”

Christopher and Izabela said: "The staff at the St James Square store really went above and beyond to help make our special day a memorable occasion. We both love Costa for their friendly staff so it seemed fitting to celebrate with them.”

Costa is celebrating its customers and employees throughout September and October. For more stories on Costa visit www.costa.co.uk
