Press release -
elephant delivers jumbo spring boost for small business start-ups
As the start of a new tax year ushers in a new period of planning for small businesses, elephant communications this week announces it will be holding two free advice days for local small business start-ups in the next three months.
The series of advice days for local start-ups has been a feature of elephant’s community investment programme for four years. National research for elephant has revealed that many bright start-ups lack confidence in promoting their ventures and the elephant advice days aim to share skills and ideas that small businesses can then apply themselves.
Session 1: 25 April
On Monday 25th April, elephant will be holding a media training day at the barn where team members will help small businesses develop their interview skills in talking about their ventures. The day will also include a series of radio interviews for small businesses, material that will be used for a local radio business show.
The session on 25th will help small businesses develop skills on how to get their messages across clearly to a range of audiences and to articulate their points of differentiation.
Session 2: 20 June
On Monday 20th June elephant will run an insight session for local small businesses, sharing local findings of its national research on consumer buying habits and media preferences – spanning print, broadcast and social media.
The session will also feature a masterclass by a local commercial photographer on how to use photography to promote a business.
Small businesses that would like to attend one of these days should contact Lucy@elephantcommunications.co.uk
