Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties continues its support for ellenor

Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties, alongside the Berkeley Foundation, has recently pledged to continue supporting ellenor for another three years, extending a partnership which began in April 2013.

Based in Sevenoaks, the developer is currently active on a number of schemes across Kent and South East London, including Royal Wells Park in Tunbridge Wells.

“Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties are pleased to announce that we will be supporting ellenor for a further three years,” says Peter Smith, Managing Director. “As well as creating employment opportunities and new homes in the local area, we feel it is hugely important as an organisation to be actively involved in the local community and our support for ellenor is a prime example.”

He continues: “ellenor is particularly close to our heart, as a couple of families who live on our developments are currently receiving or have received care and support from the charity.”

During the past three years, Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties has sponsored and supported a number of events including ellenor’s Orange Ball in London. Team members have also taken part in a number of challenge events. Eleven members of staff completed the London to Paris Bike Ride, eight have taken part in the Prudential Ride 100, one completed the London Marathon and several have taken part in ellenor’s Chilli Dip. This year, Peter Smith, along with eight other colleagues, have signed up for Prudential 100 Ride in London.

Team members from Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties have also held cake baking events, book sales and raffles, while the company has also hosted ellenor Business Club launch events at its Sales & Marketing Suites in Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.

Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties has set itself the target of raising £20,000 for ellenor each year for the next three years. This could pay for four months running costs for play, music or physio therapy.

“We are extremely pleased that Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties has chosen to support ellenor for another three years,” says Katherine Mobey, Premium Partnerships Manager at ellenor. “Our key corporate relationships are very important to us and a vital way of us raising the funds we need to continue supporting families facing terminal illness across West Kent and North Kent.”
