Gravesend Panto brings a festive cheer at ellenor

Oh no we didn’t, Oh yes we did!

Christmas is fast upon us and with that also comes the ever anticipated pantomimes. This year the Gravesend panto comes in the form of Beauty and The Beast staring Eastenders alumni Aaron Sidwell as The Beast and returning Gravesend favourites Robert Pearce as Dame Darcy Derrière & Rob Cummings as Clarence Casanova.

With all this excitement and such a star studded cast ellenor were very excited and proud to be chosen as the charity beneficiary for this year’s Gravesend panto. With this, we were pleased to welcome the cast of this year’s panto to our ellenor hospice building in Northfleet on the 22 November to meet patients, families and staff.

“We very much look forward to working with the pantomime team this festive period and hope to support them as much as possible to help them maximise their fundraising. We all here at ellenor wish the cast Good Luck and hope they have a wonderful time. We would like to thank the pantomime team and cast for choosing to support ellenor, a charity supporting the needs of local patients and their families. We would also like to thank the cast for visiting our hospice and speaking to our patients, their families and staff. It really did bring some panto cheer and brightened so many mornings.” – Leah Poppy, Area Fundraiser.

ellenor support people of all ages and their families facing terminal and life limiting illnesses across; Gravesham, Maidstone, Dartford, Bexley, Swanley, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.

The pantos have raised considerable funds in the past for ellenor including in 2017 when another eastenders alumni Leslie Grantham (aka Dirty Den) was the assistant director for Sleeping Beauty and raised just over £8,000!

The Gravesend pantomime opens on Friday 6th December and runs until Wednesday 1st January. So pop to The Woodville Halls for a festive filled day with your favorite fairytale characters, with a little twist.

Together we can raise awareness and funds so that ellenor can continue to deliver vital services to people in need.
