Perfectly in tune

ellenor has launched a Music for Wellbeing class at ellenor Gravesend, which is being led by its Music Therapist, Petra Stoffel. The class - which will run every Wednesday morning at ellenor Gravesend from 10.30am to 11.30am - is not only open to ellenor patients, but anyone in the local community who is suffering from a life-limiting condition, as well as family members and carers.

“You don’t have to be musical to enjoy the group,” says Petra. “It’s simply a way of connecting with people in an informal way and sharing the experience of enjoying music together. It’s a chance to try something new and leave behind traditional ideas of what music is.”

This first class was enjoyed by some ladies who joined Petra on the piano and made music with various percussion instruments.
