Stroll through a winter wonderland with ellenor’s Winter Walk

Join ellenor for a festive ramble in the woods to unwind from all that Christmas shopping stress and, most importantly, support families facing terminal illness. The hospice charity is encouraging people to bring along their family, friends and even their pooch to its Winter Walk on Sunday 11 December at Shorne Woods Country Park.

All walkers will receive their very own Santa hat before they are sent off on the trail at 11.00am with the option to walk or run the 5km through the wintery woodland. In December 2015, an inspiring 330 people set off on the walk for ellenor and the charity would love to welcome even more participants this year.

“We guarantee a wonderful experience with refreshments including delicious mince pies, as well as a goodie bag,” says Emma Whittington, Events Manager at ellenor. “Our Winter Walk is not only a way of raising vital funds for families facing terminal illness, but it’s a reminder of the care we provide at ellenor to families in Kent over the entire Christmas period - both at the hospice and in patients’ own homes; ensuring that families can spend this special time of year together.”
