Press release -
England Women Clinch Royal London ODI Series
England Women continued their winning ways to defeat New Zealand by 123 runs at the 3aaa County Ground, Derby and clinch the Royal London ODI series.
Tammy Beaumont's 67 and 54 from Nat Sciver took England to a total of 241 - a somewhat underwhelming effort given they'd been poised at 149/3 at the half-way stage.
Nevertheless it wasn't an easy pitch to bat on and England's bowlers demonstrated quite how hard their batting colleagues had been forced to work as they made light work of the visitors, bowling them out for 118.
Spinners Laura Marsh, Sophie Ecclestone and Heather Knight all bowled accurately and threateningly - with Marsh bagging the big wicket of Suzie Bates - while Katie George took three wickets in just her second ODI.
The third and final ODI takes place at Leicester on Friday, with the Royal London series now in the bag but England on the hunt for two more ICC Women's Championship points.
