Press release -

Tom Curran to replace Steven Finn in England's Ashes Test squad

The England selectors today announced that the Surrey pace bowler Tom Curran had been called up to England’s Ashes Test squad as a replacement for the injured Steven Finn.

The 22-year-old made his international bow against South Africa earlier this summer in a NatWest T20 International at Taunton taking three wickets on debut. He subsequently won his first ODI cap against West Indies in England’s final Royal London ODI of the summer at the Ageas Bowl.

Curran, who has also featured for England Lions and was recently awarded a new contract by Surrey, will fly out tomorrow to join the rest of the England tour party in Adelaide.
