Exodus Survey Shows More UK Travellers to Travel Solo

It’s not just students and young people who are happy to embark on a solo adventure. According to a new survey commissioned by leading UK adventure tour operator, Exodus, which specialises in small group holidays, those between the age of 45-55 are in fact most likely to book a trip to travel without their partner, friends or family (27% of 45-55 year olds compared to only 18% of 18-24 year olds and 25-34 year olds).

The survey also showed that 41% of parents would be happy to leave their partner and children at home in order to go on holiday, with 57% of working professionals* also stating they would be happy to travel solo.

The survey results coincide with Exodus’ launch of free single supplements (worth up to £500), meaning solo travellers can join a group adventure holiday and have their own room.
