Walk this way! Exodus welcomes the start of trekking season in Nepal.

As the monsoon draws to a close in Nepal at the end of August, trekking season begins in the Himalaya, welcoming walkers with cool, bright days to make the most of the magnificent mountain panoramas. Home to the mighty Everest and high Annapurna mountain range, most of Exodus’ Nepal treks are nonetheless suitable for any enthusiastic walker with moderate fitness levels.

Best for novices: Highlights of Nepal

A gentle Nepal trek and ideal introduction to the delights of Nepal. For history and culture there is time to explore Kathmandu: the narrow streets, temples, stupas and pagodas of the city and the surrounding valley have an almost medieval atmosphere. For magnificent mountain views travellers will visit Bandipur before heading westward to Pokhara, set in a subtropical valley, with have time to explore the lakeside region on foot or by bike. From a comfortable jungle lodge at Chitwan National Park travellers will explore by canoe, elephant and on foot, with every chance of seeing the Asian rhino. There is even an optional day's rafting on the Trisuli River and a short trek amongst the Annapurnas to experience rural Nepal. Next departure 20 October 2013. Best for Bear Grylls: Mera Peak Expedition

This expedition takes walkers through the highest trekking peak in Nepal with views of four of the world’s five highest mountains. From here, the trekking holiday heads through a beautiful high alpine setting, where Mera Peak, the highest trekking peak in Nepal at 6476m, stands proudly over the valley. Walking round to the north, trekkers will find a softer side to the mountain. If acclimatised well to the surroundings, travellers can reach the summit of the beautiful Mera Peak, a tough but rewarding expedition. This is a tough trek, adult only trip. Best for comfort: Annapurna in Luxury

This extremely varied Nepal holiday offers everything from fascinating ancient Kathmandu to rafting the Seti River and game-watching in Chitwan. However the highlight is a short trek, with the aud of sherpas and porters, visiting some of the most interesting villages in the Annapurna foothills, while surrounded by magnificent mountain views. Using a series of picturesque luxury lodges Exodus offers a much higher standard of comfort than is normally available while trekking. By exploring Nepal by bike, cyclists can immerse themselves in a huge range of different cultures, climates and landscapes, all in just two weeks. During the course of this Nepal holiday cyclists will get to ride in the foothills of the Himalayas, cycling through ancient cedar forests and picturesque farmland, with the chance to explore fascinating old towns and remote temples en route as well as visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha at Lumbini. Cyclists will also head to the stunning Chitwan National Park and complete an elephant back safari.
