Faerch Wins Sustainability Award at FPA Awards

Faerch Plast UK Ltd – one of the leading manufacturers and innovators in the design of recycled plastic packaging for the food industry – is delighted to announce it has won the coveted Sustainability Award at the 2019 Foodservice Packaging Association Annual Awards.

The winning entry “Yes to 100%”, is a communication campaign that Faerch UK have been heavily focussing on in the last six months, aimed at supplying 100% recycled material in the Food To Go range. With the recent acquisition of the 4PET Group, Faerch have succeeded in truly closing the loop on PET trays and has become an integrated recycler of post-consumer food trays, which is great news for customers, consumers and society as a whole.

This award is a significant achievement in light of the current environmental challenges around plastic and the judging decision is a clear indication that the 100% recycled message is being listened to within the industry and that 100% recycled materials is seen as a positive move within the market.

Faerch manufacturing facilities are 100% powered by electricity from renewable sources and are part of Operation Clean Sweep to ensure zero plastic pellet loss during transport and production to contribute to clean oceans.
