Findcourses.co.uk supports Learning at Work Day 2011

Findcourses.co.uk is pleased to be in full support of National Learning at Work Day, Thursday 19th May 2011, which is the biggest celebration of learning and development in the workplace throughout the United Kingdom.

Each year thousands of organisations and individuals take part and make a commitment to learning and skills development by actively engaging in learning something new and encouraging others to also take the opportunity to improve their skills. Learning at Work Day is part of Adult Learners' Week, organised by Campaign for Learning.

Make the future matter - find a course, learn something new

The theme of this year’s Learning at Work Day is Make the Future Matter! The theme highlights the importance of learning and development for both individuals and organisations when facing change, reaching goals, planning for the future and developing new ways of working and living.

It is more important than ever that workplaces and individuals maintain and develop their skills levels in order to adapt and thrive in the economic downturn.  Findcourses.co.uk is actively supporting Learning at Work Day and wants to help as many people as possible to find a course, or training programme that will help them to learn something new whether for personal or professional development purposes.

“Often individuals and organisations have the motivation to invest time and energy in learning and development, but don’t know where to look, or struggle to find the right courses if there is no clear guidance from above”, says Fredrik Andersson, CIO at Findcourses.co.uk.

The first step is to find information about the learning opportunities that are suitable for you, thus today the whole Findcourses.co.uk team is available online, and by phone to point people in the right direction to find the course they are looking for. The team have noticed a surge in visitors to the UK’s leading site for Professional Development throughout the week as Adult Learners’ Week has been taking place and expects a record number of users to be looking for courses today.

Learning at Work Day 2011 is organised by the Campaign for Learning, as part of Adult Learners’ Week. For more information please see Campaign for Learning homepage.
