A large NHS organisation based in London are looking to appoint this post until they recruit on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for providing expert advice and managing all aspects of corporate governance within the organisation;
• Managing regulatory relationships and compliance;
• Management of secretariat servicing to the Governing Body and its Committees;
• Responsible for overall Risk management & policy development;
• Management of the corporate office an overseeing the complaints process/team;
• Acting as expert complaints, Information Governance management, Freedom of Information requests;
• Development of the membership and governance framework for organisation;
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest level of corporate governance compliance through devising and managing procedures and advising the Governing Body, the Chair and the CEO accordingly;
• Ensuring the organisation operates within the appropriate legal framework and is compliant with all statutory requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2012;
• Developing, delivering, monitoring and reviewing the overarching corporate governance plan;
• Ensuring the corporate governance team provides clear and consistent advice across the organisation;

A successful candidate will have:

• Desirable to have a Legal Professional Qualifications or evidence of acquiring qualifications in Corporate Governance;
• Registration with the ICSA (desirable);
• Significant in depth experience of all or the majority of the areas of responsibility, including corporate governance, risk management, legal/compliance;
• Extensive experience of drafting reports for Governing Body or other NHS Board level audiences.
