Our featured job of the week is for a large NHS organisation who are currently seeking a very capable individual for a period of 6 months; the candidate will have experience working at Band 8d/9 within this type of role previously.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the strategic and operational development of the organisation, developing and rolling out the CCGs strategic plans, overseeing those plans and utilising available resources effectively;
  • Full management of the organisations operational plans, within the CCG; and provider and commissioning organisations;
  • Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to enable the implementation of key strategic plans whilst supporting effective delivery of “business as usual” functions within the CCG;
  • Actively manage the key risks and issues associated with delivery of the operational and strategic plans;
  • Establish and implement effective monitoring and accountability frameworks to track operational delivery and financial management of plans;
  • Manage and actively promote the relationships with key stakeholders;

A successful candidate will have:

  • Proven Board level experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment;
  • Significant management experience at senior level in NHS Commissioning at Band 8d/9 level;
  • Commissioning/Contracting expertise in healthcare environment;
  • Experience of successfully operating in and delivering priorities in a partnership environment;
  • Ability to influence and build trust with external and internal stakeholder;
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required;
