Our featured job of the week is for our client based in London who are looking to appoint a Head of Nursing to focus on clinical leadership to a number of projects for an initial period of 3 months.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership to support discharge improvement programmes both within borough and across the STP;
  • Provide clinical advice and support into the commissioning of complex care clinical within the NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) service and where required mental health and LD transforming care commissioning;
  • Provide senior nursing advice and work in partnership with the Local Authority to support the quality of clinical care within care homes and residential homes within local area;
  • Contribute effectively to the achievement of the 8 High Impact changes and in particularly CHC Discharge to Assess, reduction in delayed transfers of care and medically fit for discharge, development of discharge pathways more broadly and Platinum and MADE events in acute settings;
  • Receive assurance on the clinical quality of care provided by domiciliary care the including oversight of provider quality issues within care homes and domiciliary care providers.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Registered General Nurse / relevant post graduate qualification / or equivalent post graduate experience;
  • Experience of incorporating patient needs assessment and stakeholder feedback into service development and delivery;
  • Ability to translate national policy into concise documents and engage the organisation in developing local action plans and commissioning intentions;
  • Politically astute, fostering good internal and external relations
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with team members and external parties.
