Our featured job this week is for an NHS Organisation based in London who are currently looking for an Assistant Programme Director for Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the strategy, overseeing the work of contractors who have been brought in to support delivery;
  • Managing the development and implementation of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy ensuring that key milestones are achieved and that the required outcomes are met;
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with key partners including lay partners, service users and cares, clinical commissioning group mental health leads, clinical lead for mental health, chief executives of the mental health trusts, directors of the relevant local authorities, academic health science partnership colleagues and third sector organisations;
  • Securing patient, carer and public voices in all elements of the programme and ensure that the principles of co-production, as an equal and reciprocal way of working are adhered to;
  • Working with CCG and local authority colleagues to maintain positive relationships with Health and Wellbeing Boards;

A successful candidate will have:

  • Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at similar level in specialist area;
  • Programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing successful Programmes;
  • Experience and or understanding of the Mental Health economy;
  • Proven experience and significant experience of leadership;
  • Significant evidence of continued professional development;
