Health Secretary Quizzed at Finegreen Event

Burning health issues of the day came under the spotlight when the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt attended a special Finegreen-sponsored event.

The aftermath of the critical Francis Report into tragic events in Mid Staffs – and creation of the new Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) – were high up the agenda at the event, which included a question and answer session with the Health Secretary. 

“This was a rare opportunity for senior NHS leaders to hear directly from Jeremy Hunt on current challenges,” said Finegreen Chief Executive Neil Fineberg, “and to raise issues of concern with him.” 

He added: “This is an extremely challenging time for senior health sector managers – when significant changes are coinciding with a period of financial constraint – and we were delighted that we could help to throw some light on possible ways through these challenges.”
