Press release -

From Atria to Food for Progress

Swedish food company Food for Progress, with plant-based brands like Oumph! and Beat, recruits Hans Mathiason as Head of Taste and Texture. He is trained in processed meats and comes from a position as product developer at Atria Scandinavia. Prior to that, he worked at Dafgård, where he held several different roles.

– Bringing 23 years of experience from the industry and switching to plant-based at Food for Progress feels pretty good. I want to develop food that both looks good and tastes good, but has a limited climate impact, says Hans Mathiason, Head of Taste and Texture at Food for Progress.

Hans Mathiason has solid experience in the food industry, including as a product developer at Dafgård and Atria Scandinavia. In recent years, he has focused on developing different kinds of processed meats.

As Head of Taste and Texture at Food for Progress, Hans' responsibilities will include implementing ideas for finished products. He started on 1 September and will be part of the company's innovation team.

– We are very pleased that Hasse joins us and strengthens the innovation team with his long experience in product and process development. I look forward to developing many new exciting and epic products together, says Susanne Ekstedt, Head of Innovation at Food for Progress.

– This is a change I do for my children, we have only one planet and we need to take better care of it. Always or sometimes choosing plant-based, is something everyone should be able to do, in particular when there is no need to sacrifice either pleasure or satisfaction, says Hans Mathiason.
