Oumph! New award-winning plant-based food from Sweden at IFE 2017

Oumph! is a new mouth-watering food from the plant kingdom. Food for Progress presents Oumph! at IFE, International Food & Drinks Event, London 19-22 March. Stand: S3022a. Oumph! was awarded 'Food Product of the Year' in 2016 by the Swedish Grocers Federation.

“We are convinced that a great taste experience is the key to a food evolution where there’s enough to go around for everyone", says co-founder and Head of Progress Strategy Anna-Kajsa Lidell."Oumph! is part of a wider concept within Food for Progress, and it’s a tool for igniting positive change in the way we create, prepare and enjoy good food on a global scale".

Oumph!, which is created from soya beans, has increased a flow of new consumers to the plant-based food sector, both in retail and food service.

“We are happy to have increased the category growth in retail by 24% in Sweden over the past year”, continues Anna-Kajsa Lidell. “We are excited that the flexitarians - people who are aiming to cut down on meat - really love our products. Now we hope to create the same impact on new markets”.

The Oumph! products are designed to create cravings to a wide audience, including families, foodies, chefs and fast food loving vegans. The goal from the very start was to make tasty food that everyone will love. Food that is easy to cook. The added bonus is the fact that the soya based products are resource efficient, climate savvy, rich in protein and fiber, as well as a source of iron and folic acid!

The Oumph! Product Range

The Oumph! range of products are easy to cook. They are versatile and suitable to grill, boil, sauté, deep-fry or heat over an open fire. Pure Oumph! leaves plenty of room for chefs to get creative. Oumph! is completely plant-based, free from gluten, dairy and nuts. The Pure Oumph! range is unseasoned and comes in three varieties: The Chunk, The Strip and The Filet. Pure Oumph! contains nothing but soya protein concentrate, water and salt.

Spicy Oumph! is an entire range of Oumph!-products, seasoned with our own spice mixes such as: Thyme & Garlic, Kebab Spiced, Salty & Smoky and Grill Spiced. Two varieties come with BBQ-sauce; Pulled Oumph! and the Korean influenced Bibim Oumph!

Oumph! is currently available in all leading Swedish retail chains and it's served on the menu in a large number of Swedish restaurants, such as the sports bar chain O’Leary’s and fast food chains such as Max Burger. It's also available in Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland.
