Closure of John Dobson Street from 23 until 31 October

News   •   Oct 18, 2016 15:28 BST

John Dobson Street will be closed from a point south of Durant Road to just north of Market Street East due to roadworks.

Consequently, we will be unable to serve New Bridge Street or the southern end of John Dobson Street from Sunday 23 until Monday 31 October.

Due to the number of buses expected to be using Market Street East, all express services - X1, X9, X10, X21, X25, X31, X32, X70 and X71 - will divert via Central Motorway and will not be able to stop between Gateshead Interchange and Eldon Square.

Anyone using an express service that needs to travel to a bus stop between Gateshead Interchange and Eldon Square will be required to change buses.

Diversions for other services
