D-Day veterans to be honoured at national commemoration event in Portsmouth

We're very proud that Portsmouth is at the heart of the D-Day 75 anniversary event, and Hampshire Constabulary is ready to play its full part in honouring the heroes who made such great sacrifices for us.

This will be a national commemoration and we expect the policing operation to reflect this, ensuring a safe event for the veterans, visitors, residents and businesses.

We are already planning with local and national partners, drawing on a vast amount of experience our officers and staff have from policing other recent large-scale events.
