ID Medical wears jeans and raises £500 to help change lives

As part of ID Medical’s filled Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and fundraising calendar, Friday 18th September saw the UK’s leading medical recruiter once again have a day in denim, participating in Jeans for Genes Day 2015 and raising a phenomenal total of £500 for Genetic Disorders UK.

In support of Jeans for Genes Day, a campaign that funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children and families affected by genetic disorders, ID Medical’s workforce left their suits at home and wore their best jeans to work whilst making a minimum donation of £2 for the worthy cause.

Everyone inherits a range of talents, skills and personality traits through genes – making us who we are today, but 1 in 25 children also inherit a genetic disorder that makes their life very difficult. By pulling on a pair of jeans and doing something extraordinary in denim, ID Medical helped fund the vital care and support services that transform their lives.

ID Medical’s CSR policy has been implemented at the core of its daily operations with the intention of long-term integration into corporate strategies and company development. With the establishment of the company mantra ‘Together we will make the difference’ CSR has been placed top of mind and a particular importance is placed on empowering employees to engage with the CSR strategies, with Jeans for Genes Day being one of the may spirit-lifting internal health-related fundraising events included.

It’s not too late to get involved! For more information about the Jeans for Genes campaign or to make a donation, visit the charity’s website.
