After launching the crowdfunding campaign during the technology conference Slush in Helsinki 12th of november, InstrumentChamp reached 100% after only 30 days last friday. InstrumentChamp promise to make learning to play music fun, easy and social.

"I think all of us have experienced how hard it is to learn to play music. We want to transform the music learning experience with digital music games that you play with real musical instruments like guitar, piano and drums" said Lars Willner, co-founder of InstrumentChamp.

By combining polyphonic sound recognition technology with graphical representation of sheet music, InstrumentChamp turn any song into an interactive game experience. When playing the right chords on the guitar, the right notes on the piano or keeping the right beat on the drums users get high scores and can challenge their friends.

"Using the power of new technology, gaming and music we want to inspire and empower the next generation to play music - not just listen to it. We are now releasing the game in private beta to a limited number of users, and will in the first quarter of 2014 come with more releases - including a social gaming platform for music." Mr. Willner continued.

The equity crowdfunding campaign set out a goal of raising SEK250000 (about $40000). The company has so far mainly been self-financed, and will with the new financing make further investments in product development and market introduction.

"It is highly unusual that campaigns succesfully close before going in to Open Round, where normally the most hard work is done." said Daniel Daboczy, CEO of FundedByMe.

For the equity crowdfunding campaign InstrumentChamp has used the crowdfunding platform FundedByMe, which is one of the fastest growing in Europe. With a combination of both reward and equity based campaigns and an international network of about 30000 registered investors, FundedByMe enable cross-border equity investments.

- FundedByMe has enabled us to find 25 ambassadeurs and shareholders around northern europe, from countries like Finland, Norway, Sweden and UK. When building a global company with nordic roots, it is extremely valuable to connect with a larger community to get a stronger voice.
