"Girl Power" to hit New York. Marcel Schreur to exhibit in the US for the first time.

Marcel Schreur, the original Dutch artist, living and working in London, will take part in the Vertigo Art Salon from the 17th to the 19th of February at an exciting, high level, location just of Time Square. After a successful show at the London Art Biennale the US public will be able to see his work for the first time. "Girl Power" is a perfect example of this up and coming artists work, Van Gogh meets Picasso.

The artist well know in London for these portraits has known a remarkable development. Up until 4 years ago he did not touch a paintbrush, went to a gallery or a museum. A radical change in his life urged him to start painting his testament. (Watch his remarkable "Life is Beautiful" story here:  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9-leU05w6AM ). Thankfully he moved from painting his testament to bleeding his life, and particularly his joy for life, onto the canvas. His work covers conceptual art as well as landscapes and abstracts. All developed in a timespan of 18 months. Established award winning American artists as well as the former Photo editor, Lonne Schlein, of the New York Times during 9/11, are praising the artists abilities in the expression "the freedom of movement".  Marcel says "I am a very priviliged person, wishing nothing more hen to share my gift. I believe there to be a deep understanding of my work, particularly in America. I am very excited to share this gift in New York for the first time"

It will be one of the three works',  two works in his series "supermodel" - 'Johnny be Good' and "Life is Beautiful - a self portrait' can be seen. He says "Two eyes, a nose and a mouth. We are all supermodels".

This International Collective exhibition of Contemporary Art will be realized in an important Times Square building, situated at 311 West 43rd street - between the Eight and Ninth Avenues. A large space of more than 120 sq m , high ceiling and plenty of day light is going to host this promising event.  In "Vertigo-ArtSalon" you may expect an outstanding conjunction of painting, photography, sculpture, video, installation and performance.

Besides the inauguration the exhibition will be open for the public 18th February from 11 am to 8 pm and 19th February from 10am to 6 pm.
