Whitehead Railway Museum to host Big Telly Theatre Company creative workshop

Following the success of its recent participative theatre project, Shaped by Industry-Shared with Pride, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is excited to announce that a creative workshop run by Big Telly Theatre Company will be taking place at Whitehead Railway Museum on Tuesday 19 November from 9.30am to 4pm and Monday 25 November from 9.30am to 1pm.

The focus of this workshop will be to demonstrate how sites can be animated in an exciting new way to attract visitors, by bringing local heritage to life through participative theatre.

Linda McCracken from Big Telly Theatre Company said: ‘This project has been about supporting volunteers to lead innovative visitor experiences borrowed from other types of engagement such as interactive theatre, escape rooms and immersive technology.

“The creative workshop on 25 November will be an opportunity to share the learning of this process whilst exploring its potential.”

This event is free to attend, and is open to the tourism, arts and heritage sectors with lunch being provided on Tuesday 19 November.
