Appeal following burglary in city centre store

We are investigating a burglary at a shop in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of today (Friday 12 July 2019).

A report was received at 5.25am when an alarm was activated at the Kurt Geiger store on Church Street.

It was reported a man smashed a window at the shop before entering the store, taking a number of handbags and making off on foot along Tarleton Street.

The offender is described as wearing a black jacket with white writing on the back.
