Appeal for information following damage only firearms discharge in Kirkdale

We were called at 7.15am today, Sunday 9th June, following reports that damage had been caused overnight to the window of a house in Fonthill Road, Kirkdale.

Officers attended and found damage to a kitchen window consistent with a firearms discharge. Nobody has been injured.

Enquiries are underway to establish when the incident took place and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area.

Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: “We are committed to tackling gun crime and will do everything we can to make our streets safer, but we need the community to help us. If you were in the area around Fonthill Road last night or this morning and saw anyone or anything suspicious or have any information about this incident please come forward.”
