Appeal for information following fail to stop RTC in Liverpool City Centre

We are appealing for information following a fail to stop road traffic collision in Liverpool City Centre last night, Sunday 31 March.

At around 10.10pm, a call was received of a collision between a BMW and a man in his 20s outside Vine Court on Myrtle Street. The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening arm and head injuries and is being assessed.

The driver of the BMW made off and, although the car was found nearby, the driver has not been located. CCTV enquiries are ongoing. All roads have now been reopened.

Inspector Stuart McIver from our Roads Policing Unit said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident as we continue to track the person involved down.

"If you know who this is, do the right thing and come forward as soon as possible and tell us what you know. We will carry out extensive enquiries to find the driver, and act on all information.

"If you were passing in another vehicle at this time, please check your dashcam too, as this could be vital evidence to establish what happened."

Anyone with information can contact our Roads Policing Unit on (0151) 777 5747, contact @MerPolCC with reference 874 of yesterday, or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
