Appeal for information following serious RTC in Croxteth

We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Croxteth this morning, Wednesday 27 February.

At around 5.10am, emergency services were called to the junction of the East Lancs Road and Stonebridge Lane following a collision between a BMW and a Ford Mondeo private hire taxi.

The taxi driver and a passenger have been taken to hospital for assessment of what are initially described as serious injuries. The driver of the BMW has been taken to hospital for assessment of his injuries.

A road closure is currently in place at the junction of East Lancs Road and Bridgehouse Lane (Vikings Landing Pub), heading out of the city. Please avoid the area and plan your journeys accordingly.
