CCTV appeal following theft of bank card in Toxteth

We have issued a CCTV still of a woman who may be able to assist with an investigation into the theft of a bank card using various ATM machines in Liverpool.

The victim who has learning disabilities resides in supported living in Toxteth. Officers were alerted by the mother of the victim who stated staff informed her that the bank card had been missing since Monday, 1 April.

The offender has used the card on a number of occasions at different locations across Liverpool.

Inspector Bernard McHugh said: "It is not right that a vulnerable man has had a substantial amount of money taken from his account in such a dishonest way.

“We would appeal to the woman in our CCTV image to come forward to help us investigate this matter.

“We take offences like this seriously and we will do all we can to find the offender or offenders and bring them to justice.”
