CCTV appeal following theft of bike in St Helens

We have issued CCTV images of man we would like to speak to following the theft of a bike in St Helens.

The bike – a black, blue, grey and white Scott Scale 960 – was secured with a padlock on the bike rack outside Sports Direct on King Street at around 12.25pm on Sunday 15th September when an unknown male forced the padlock and rode off on it.

We have issued two images of a man who we believe could assist with our investigation.

The man is described as a white male, wearing grey jeans, a grey T-shirt, a blue coat with red zip lining, blue trainers and a black Nike baseball cap.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 19100523879.
