CCTV appeal following thefts in West Derby

We are issuing a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with a number of thefts in West Derby.

It was reported that on a number of separate occasions between 30th April and 14th May 2019, a male offender had attended Larkhill Service Station on Queens Drive and taken fuel without paying. It is also believed the man attended in a grey Vauxhall Moka displaying different stolen registration plates each time.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing and police are keen to speak to anyone with information.

Constable Ben Stewart said: “We believe the man pictured could have vital information to assist our enquiries and I would ask him, or anyone who recognises him to please come forward.

“We are investigating not only the theft of the fuel, but the circumstances surrounding the stolen number plates too and will do all we can to bring those responsible to justice.”

Anyone who recognises the man pictured or has any information is asked to contact @MerPolCC, 101 quoting ref. 19100239427 or @CrimestoppersUK, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
