Football fan given three year football banning order

A 21 year-old Liverpool man has been given a three year football banning order after being found guilty of a public order offence ahead of the Liverpool v Everton fixture on 2nd December last year. 

Everton fan John O’Brien, of St Domingo Road, Liverpool, was heard shouting offensive comments prior to the derby game.

He was arrested for a s5 public order offence and after a trial at Sefton CJC yesterday, Wednesday 18th September, he was found guilty and given a three year football banning order. He was also fined £850.
