Four men arrested on suspicion of fraud offences - Halewood

We can confirm that four men have been arrested on suspicion of fraud offences following an incident in Halewood yesterday, Monday 4 February.

At around 11.45am, a report was received of a suspected rogue trader fraud against a man in his 80s in the Halewood area. Patrols attended an address and a pursuit was initiated of a white panel van.

The van was stopped in the Watkinson Way area of Widnes before the occupants ran off. Four men were located nearby and detained.

A 22-year-old man from Widnes was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation
A 25-year-old man from Wigan was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation
A 22-year-old man from Castleford was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation

They have all been taken to police stations for questioning and remain in custody at the time of writing.
