Further raids carried out - one week on from the murder of James Taylor

Detectives investigating the murder of James Taylor, have this morning (Thursday, 14 February), executed warrants at five addresses in Liverpool - in the Vauxhall and Everton areas.

Searches of the properties are ongoing and officers remain at the scene. So far officers have recovered mobile phones and a quantity of cash and two men have been arrested on suspicion of unrelated drugs offences.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Warlow said: “It’s a week on from the murder of James Taylor and we are determined to continue our activity to trace those involved in this tragic murder.

“This morning’s raids are just one tactic we are using to disrupt and bring to justice those involved in criminality and I hope this type of activity reassures residents of this area that we are taking action and will continue to do so.”
