Injury shooting - Edgemoor Close, Prenton

Detectives are appealing for information following an injury shooting in Prenton this evening (Thursday, 7 February).

Emergency services were called to Edgemoor Close at around 7.15pm, to reports a man in his 30s had been injured. The man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his leg, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers have cordoned off the scene for forensic examination and house to house enquiries will be carried out. CCTV from the surrounding area will also be examined.

The investigation is at an early stage and detectives are keeping an open mind as to the motive for the attack.
