Man, 37, charged with possession of knife blade following stop check in Liverpool city centre

We have charged a 37 year-old man with possession of a knife blade following a stop check of a vehicle in Liverpool.

Officers stopped an Audi A6 on Byrom Street in Liverpool city centre at around 11.25am yesterday, Tuesday 9th July.A locking knife was recovered from the car.

Tautvydas Petkevicius, of Weston Drive, Shrewsbury, has been charged with possession of a knife blade, having no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence.

He has been released on unconditional bail to appear at Liverpool magistrates court on Thursday 25th July
