Man, 37, charged with possession of knife blade following stop check in Liverpool city centre

We have charged a 37 year-old man with possession of a knife blade following a stop check of a vehicle in Liverpool.

Officers stopped an Audi A6 on Byrom Street in Liverpool city centre at around 11.25am yesterday, Tuesday 9^th July.A locking knife was recovered from the car.

Tautvydas Petkevicius, of Weston Drive, Shrewsbury, has been charged with possession of a knife blade, having no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence.

He has been released on unconditional bail to appear at Liverpool magistrates court on Thursday 25^th July
