Man arrested and drugs and weapon recovered following sighting of wanted man in Liverpool City Centre

Officers carrying out ongoing disruption work across Merseyside have arrested a man and seized drugs and a weapon last night, Monday 25 February.

At around 6pm, officers on patrol in Elliot Street in Liverpool City Centre sighted a wanted man, who was detained and searched. A large quantity of suspected crack cocaine, heroin and a knuckle duster were seized.

The 39-year-old man from Toxteth was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and criminal damage (relating to a previous incident). He remains in custody for questioning.
