Man arrested on suspicion of drug supply following stop check in Liverpool City Centre

We have arrested an Aigburth man on suspicion of drug supply following a stop check in Liverpool City Centre last night, Tuesday 22 July.

At 9pm, officers saw a man on a pedal bike acting suspiciously on Fenwick Street, towards the junction with Brunswick Street. He attempted to ride off and was stopped nearby, searched and found with around 35 wraps of suspected drugs, mobile phones and cash.

The 39-year-old man from Southwood Road was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

He was taken to a police station for questioning and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
