Man arrested on suspicion of possession of firearm recovered in February in Walton

Officers have arrested a man on suspicion of possession of a firearm and drugs following a warrant in Old Swan carried out in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 23 May.

On Sunday 3 February 2019, a warrant was carried out in Vanbrugh Road in Walton, leading to the seizure of a revolver and ammunition.

Following enquiries, a 29-year-old man from Old Swan was today arrested at an address in Ronald Street on suspicion of possession of a firearm, and possession of cannabis. He has been taken to a police station for questioning.

31-year-old Alan Kane-Waters from Vanbrugh Road, Walton has previously been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition in connection with this seizure, and will next appear for trial on Monday 22 July at Liverpool Crown Court.
