Man charged after stabbing in Moreton

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Moreton on Tuesday, 2 April. 

At 5.50pm, emergency services were called to Gabriel Close to reports of a man in his 20s being found injured. 

He was taken to hospital for assessment of wounds consistent with a stabbing, comprising non life-threatening injuries to his chest, head and hand. He has since been discharged from hospital.

Lewis John Chong, 24 years, of Fender View Road, Moreton was charged with Section 18 wounding and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 10 April 2019).
