Man charged with assault following city centre collision

We have charged a man with two assaults following an incident in Liverpool city centre in January.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and motorbike at the junction of Hanover Street and Bold Street in Liverpool city centre at around 2.20pm on Monday 21st January.

The car was driven away from the scene and the driver located and arrested later that day.

The motorcyclist, who suffered a fractured leg, underwent surgery for treatment to his injuries.

Kevin James Wall, 38 years, of Pennsylvania Road, Tuebrook has been charged with assault and Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on bail to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 11 July.
