Officers assist response to flooding in Liverpool and Knowsley

Merseyside Police can confirm a number of roads in West Derby and Kirkby are closed following heavy rainfall this morning (Tuesday, 24 September 2019).

The force is assisting with road closures around Kirkby Row and Deysbrook Lane, and liaising with the local authorities and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

Officers have also helped a small number of people out of cars which became stuck in the water.
