Officers recover suspected stolen puppy from address in Kirkby

Do you recognise this puppy, who was recovered from an address in Kirkby today? (Tuesday, 25 June). 

At around 10.35am, officers were called to Alvanley Road following reports of a disturbance at an address on the street. 

On arrival, officers forced entry and located a number of suspected stolen bikes and a puppy. No one was present at the address.

Due to the age of the puppy and the absence of a mother, the puppy is at this stage believed to be stolen.

The puppy was taken to a vets but was found to have no microchip.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are asking anyone who recognises the puppy, and can prove ownership and confirm a distinguishing feature on the puppy is asked to contact police via @MerPolCC, or by calling 101 quoting ref. 19100334535.
