Officers remain in Moreton, Wirral following road traffic collision

Road closures are currently in place on Fender Lane, Wirral following reports of a road traffic collision.

We were called at 12pm this afternoon (20th June) to reports that a man had been involved in a collision with a Ford Mondeo car.

The man, who is in his 30s, is believed to have been driving when he saw a dog with no lead. He stopped his car and tried to catch the dog, when the collision has taken place.

Emergency services attended were the man was treated for suspected leg and head injuries. He has been taken to hospital by Air Ambulance.

Fender Lane is currently closed from Bidston roundabout towards Moreton and motorists are urged to use other routes if possible to avoid delays.
