**AMENDED** Man arrested in connection with series of business robberies in Liverpool

Detectives investigating a series of business robberies across Liverpool this month have arrested an Anfield man in connection with the offences.

Warrants were carried out at an address in Anfield, in the early hours of this morning, Monday 17 June.

A 40-year-old man from Anfield was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A 31-year-old man from Anfield was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and resisting arrest, after cannabis was found at the location.

Both men have been taken to police stations for questioning.

Between 4-16 June, six robberies have been reported at businesses in Liverpool which detectives believe may be linked. In each case the offender threatened shop staff with what appeared to be a double barrelled shotgun.
