Two males arrested following assault of teenager in St Helens

We have arrested two males after a report a teenager was assaulted in St Helens on Thursday night (11 July 2019).

A report was received at about 9.35pm that a 15-year-old male had been struck to the leg with piece of broken glass on a footpath in Haresfinch Park that runs alongside Woodlands Road.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a cut to the leg.

A 16-year-old and a 13-year-old male from St Helens were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and have been taken to a police station for questioning.

Enquires into the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
