Two men charged following robbery of delivery driver in Huyton

Detectives investigating the robbery of a delivery driver in Huyton in July have arrested and charged two men.

At 9.15am on Friday 5 July, officers were called to Bargain Booze to reports of a delivery driver being approached by men outside Bargain Booze in Page Moss Parade. The driver was threatened before the suspects made off with a large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco.

Following enquiries, warrants were this week carried out at addresses in Huyton and two men were detained.

20-year-old Ryan Helsby of no fixed abode was charged with robbery and 31-year-old Thomas Rathbone from Dinas Court, Huyton was charged with robbery and possession of cocaine

Both were kept in custody to appear today (Thursday 26 September) at Knowsley Magistrates Court, Derby Square, Liverpool.
