Walton man charged with various offences following incident in Aintree

We have charged a Walton man with various offences following an incident in Aintree on Friday night, 5 April.

At approximately 8.30pm a traffic officer was stopped by a member of the public who pointed out a BMW car on Park Lane, being driven by a man who they suspected had been drink driving.

Despite attempting to drive away, the man was arrested at the scene.

56-year-old Gerard Duffy from Nelville Road has now been charged with dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and obstruct/resist a constable in execution of duty.

Duffy will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 8 April.
