Press release -

A taste of the Mountain Cafe in Buckie

KIRSTEN Gilmour - the owner of the award-winning Mountain Café - will be talking at Buckie Library on Wednesday 13 March.

Kirsten tells her story of her journey to the Cairngorms skilfully in her own way. Her first cookery book The Mountain Café Cookbook: a Kiwi in the Cairngorms is packed with delicious recipes to replicate the Mountain Café taste experience, and Waterstones Elgin will be supplying copies of the books for sale on the evening of the talk.

A passionate, award-winning Head Chef from New Zealand, Kirsten opened the prestigious Mountain Café restaurant in December 2004. It's since established itself as an institution in Aviemore with a reputation for fantastic food, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and an amazing view of the Cairngorm mountains.

Tickets for this evening event are priced at £5 and are available online at https://secure.moray.gov.uk/eshop/home.php or by calling Buckie Library on 01542 832121.
